O’Brien Law Firm wins federal appeal for clients

In March 2014, O’Brien Law Firm helped two hard-working employees prevail against federal contractor Stobil Enterprises in San Antonio on claims of unpaid overtime pay and retaliation for filing an overtime complaint under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The federal jury and court awarded our clients over $60,000 in damages, attorneys fees and court costs for the violations. Stobil Enterprises appealed to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. In March 2016, the 5th Circuit officially affirmed the decision, added $4,000 in attorney fees and closed the case, resulting in a final victory for our clients. That case is Reyes et al. v. Stone d/b/a Stobil Enterprises, Civil Action No. 5:11-CV-110, in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, San Antonio Division. Congratulations to these two deserving clients.
