O’Brien Law Firm wins $504,000 jury verdict for former company sales VP

On October 17, 2019, Kerry O’Brien, with the help of Lance Cawthon of Cawthon Law, P.L.L.C., won a $504,000 jury verdict against a company in favor of the company’s former VP of Business Development, in a Waco federal courtroom, after a three-day jury trial, on a breach of contract claim for unpaid commissions. O’Brien and Cawthon also won a jury finding that would potentially entitle their client to a total recovery of over $1 million. The local Waco newspaper covered the trial. That case was Civil Action No. 6:18-CV-0025. Prior to the final judgment being entered by the Court, the parties settled the dispute on confidential terms.
